Or maybe the Time is slowing down.

To this blog, on 3rd Oct 2010, I posted photographs of Sharmila Tagore from 16th Aug 1966 issue of Filmfare that had her on the cover, famously in a bikini.


On 9/10/10, TOI, part owners of that magazine, came out with this:

For  Ist Anniversary of Times of India - Crest Edition.
Spooky.

    I think media groups have a human internet crawlers working for them.
    Someone should do a study on how blogs are affecting what newspaper folks think what the 'buzz' is and hence must publish.

    they most certainly do, because even writing about a famous person's twitter is now considered "news".

    that would be an interesting study. but as more people get their news online, i wonder what the value would be of pretty much reblogging what's already out there.

    I find it quite entertaining. This is the second time something like this has happened this year. Earlier it was HT.

    Actually I have been thinking, why didn't they go through the archives of the magazine and come up with a better copy of that image.

    That is just terrible and utterly deplorable. Is accountability dead? For whatever it is worth, perhaps you should take this up with the respective editors. If it were me, I would.

    In a way I am glad, though, that you find it entertaining. When I encounter this kind of thing, it upsets me immeasurably. And I don't think I can learn to tolerate it, either.

    And, indeed, why couldn't they get a better copy of the image, anyway? Unbelievable.

Target Magazine 1988 Annual Issue

Cover of Target Magazine 1988 Annual Issue (June) It's a copy that a cousin brother of mine owns. Years ago, I discovered this wonderful magazine only thanks to him. I was too young, about seven, when I first laid my hand on it. I never owned a single copy, my cousin used to do the buying. By the time I decided it was time for me to buy my first copy, the publishers had called quit on the magazine. Yes I did buy a copy of Teens Today. But never again.
