Olive Ridley Turtles take on Tata. Touché Turtle!

According to wiki page on Olive Ridley Turtle:
In the Indian Ocean, a major nesting ground for the Olive Ridley turtles is in the Indian state of Orissa. Beaches in Devi, Gahirmatha and Rushikulya are known nesting sites for this turtle's Indian Ocean population.
The long term plan is to build 14 ports along the Orissa's 480 km coastline. This comes around  to about one every 35 km.

Gahiramatha is believed to be the largest nesting ground of the species in the world. Gahiramatha Sanctuary is close to Bhitarakanika, believed to be India’s second largest mangrove forest 

Dhamra gets its name from Dhamra estuary, the confluence of Brahmani river and Baitarani river.

A port is being built at Dhamra, less than 5 Kilometers from the Bhitarkanika Sanctuary and 15 Kilometers ("as the crow flies") from Gahirmatha Sanctuary.

    I am not surprised by the way the Green peace organization is behaving. They have always been criticized for being too radical, too alarmist or too mainstream, for using methods bordering on eco-terrorism, or having itself caused environmental damage in its activities, for taking positions which are not environmentally or economically sound, and for valuing non-human causes over human causes. These criticisms have been not only made by governments, industrial and political lobbyists but also by and other environmental groups

    I personally am very upset with green peace, fighting for anything which is right is great but to simply make noice and drama is not nice, we Indians need to know that for the past so many yrs Orissa has always been in the news for constant floods and cyclones its very disturbing so many of them lost their lives humans , animals , vegetation, tress infrastructure.

    On this low-traffic page, in a timespan of only 6 minutes, I get 'enlightening' comment by 4 'random' people, 3 of them presumely women, and all the while my statcounter doesn't even register their spammy presence; it all only has me convinced that their is a strong but stupid lobby working pro-actively against the voices who want to know what will happen to the turtles.

    The facts are clear dredging has had no impact on the nesting this year.

    Tata has obviously done its homework and going ahead with the project. People like you made such a big deal when Dubai was building their palm islands and the world, now its a marine life haven. It easy to post blogs sitting comfortable with a good job. What about the development and employment generated. Tata will not let the turtles and us down. Don worry.

All about Taro Ek Dragon Ka Beta

Hawa mithee tu aa ja, purab se Tufaan tu aa jaa re paschim se Chali aa, jaldi aa jaldi aa tu aasmaan se ~Title song from Cartoon Series Taro Ek Dragon Ka Beta Japanese cartoon series from the late 70’s Taro the Dragon Boy ( orginal story by Miyoko Matsutani ) was shown on Indian national television - Doordarshan, in mid nineties with the Hindi title: Taro Ek Dragon Ka Beta . Due to this one serial, a generation of Indians was introduced to the wonders of Japanese animation. Although it may not seem to be a great series in itself( when compared to the new age sleek animation of these days) , showing of Taro the Dragon Boy was the true precursor to the coming of Pokemons, Inuyashas, Samurai Jacks and Dragon Ball Zs. Space City Sigma, 1989

A strange new deadly creature has sneaked aboard the ship. The latest maneuver of  Zakhakoo to take down Commander Tara and his city, the last hurdle to his plans of adding earth to his galactic kingdom and the universe. This time he sent a small Blob, strangely, much resembling a stinky wet Upla , a throbbing pack of  cow-dung .
