Indian Radio Jingles from 1970s

Listen in on two radio jingles found in the film "Pati Patni Aur Woh"(1978).

First one, in English, is for Bombay Dyeing:
Youuuu the beautiful woman in your husband's life
You You You
the beautiful woman in your husband's life
Show your husband all the woman you are in 100% polyester and polyester georgette Sarees by Bombay Dyeing
ting-tong

and the second one (in Hindi and in the voice of Ameen Sayani) is for Halls Vapour Action:
Galay may ho kharaash
ya ho bandh naak
Halls Vapour Action
Arram dilaye phoran
Galay ki kharaash mitaye
Band naak phoran khul jaye
Halls Mentho-Lyptus Vapor action


Notice the keyhole effect in the video. I guess they wanted the audience to realize that the sound is coming from the Radio and that it's not the sound of ads jingles played in the middle of the film by the theater owner.

    Thanks for the comment! Wish there was a culture of preservation in India. People of my generation have little (like the way in this post) or no way for hearing those sounds from 60s and 70s.

Indian Cigarette Vintage Ads

Kishore Kumar, Yodel-ay-ee-oooo Songs, A List

*Updated with corrections pointed out by Bart Plantenga , author of some incredible book on Yodeling including Yodel-Ay-Ee-Oooo: The Secret History of Yodeling Around the World. -0- Kishore Kumar 's brother Anoop Kumar, who we basically know for the line ' O manu tera toh hua ab mera kya hoga ', used to own lots of Austrian music records. And from these records, Kishore Kumar picked up the art of Yodel singing, an art perfected in bathroom and then introduced by him to the world of Hindi film music.
