Adam and Eve animated in a Hindi film (1978)

Alif naked Adam and Eve running in slo-mo to a hindi song with alif naked little fairies buzzing all around them.


The story of Adam aur Hauwa told in the animated title sequence of Hindi film "Pati Patni aur Woh", released 1978. This B.R Chopra film, scripted by acclaimed Hindi writer Kamleshwar, was a comedy themed on the idea of "seven year itch". According to this film's title sequence, the forbidden apple means the other woman. Wonder how this sequence passed India's film censor board. 1978 may provide the answer. End of Emergency brought in a new sense of freedom.

    My experiments with culture continue. Youtube is warning me they will ban my account for spreading 'nudity or sexual content'. One can't really explain to them that anything ever produced by BR Chopra could never be considered inappropriate in India, and certainly never an animated clip on a biblical story.

Kishore Kumar, Yodel-ay-ee-oooo Songs, A List

*Updated with corrections pointed out by Bart Plantenga , author of some incredible book on Yodeling including Yodel-Ay-Ee-Oooo: The Secret History of Yodeling Around the World. -0- Kishore Kumar 's brother Anoop Kumar, who we basically know for the line ' O manu tera toh hua ab mera kya hoga ', used to own lots of Austrian music records. And from these records, Kishore Kumar picked up the art of Yodel singing, an art perfected in bathroom and then introduced by him to the world of Hindi film music.
